You need to cut your card to specific dimensions to enable the pattern to line up.
3.25 inches
5 inches
6.75 inches
8.5 inches
10.25 inches
12 inches & bigger
So starting from 3.25 inches, you need to go up in 1.75 inch increments.
You can use square or rectangle card, as long as the card is cut to the above increments - do not go too heavy with the weight of the card.
Punch the 4 corners first.
Then aline the corner pattern on your edger punch - note that there is a corner guide and edger guide on flip down tabs.
The tool can be sharpened by punching through aluminium foil or lubricated by punching through waxed paper.
